Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephan Chbosky is an intriguing take on high school life from the eyes of a wallflower who calls himself Charlie. Written as a letter to a “friend,” he tells his tale of trying to fit in in a world where he doesn’t quite fit in, that is until he meets Sam and Patrick. Sam and Patrick are two seniors from school who decide to take Charlie under their wing. They show him the good and the bad and make him realise more about people.
